Loud burst of noise at change in sample rate

Hi folks,
When a subsequent song being played in my setup has a different sample rate, there can be a very loud burst of noise between songs. Usually there is a click when changing the sample rate, but occasionally there is a very loud burst of noise. It cannot be predicted or repeated by replaying the same material.
This is an annoying problem. When this happens during playback with a higher level of loudness, it forces the tweeter and the ears.

This only happens when I use Roon.

I never use upsampling and I have experimented with other settings. These are now 0 second crossfade and 2000 milliseconds resinc delay but this gives no relief.

When using the Auralic Lightning server there is never a click or burst of sound with sample rate changes. Never.
Any suggestions from people familiar with this problem?
Thanks, Edwin

Try and use some Resync Delay:

I used short and long resinc delays and cannot discover any influence of that.

The issue described is usually a flaw in the DAC’s adaptation to the source sample rate/format. But you are not telling what your setup looks like…
