I used to have disconnects with my old mini PC running Roon but with Nucleus it all works consistently.
Every time I access my music it is up and running.
No more windows logouts and disconnects and fiddling.
Love my Nucleus

How big is your library? I have 16,453 Albums 117,835 Tracks which exceeds their recommendation. I’m in the trial period and its running fine on M3 Macbook Air.
I cant believe what they are asking for the Titan!
Where is the problem? Nothing keeps you from buying a similar or better NUC, run ROCK and save a ton of money. With identical user experience.
BUT its pretty ![]()
I have a NUC !!
I have to say that if I had the cash spare I would probably buy a Nucleus. I think it’s an attractive bit of kit, and it’s Plug and Play, which is what a lot of folks are looking for. I went down the self build route but then I’m a bit of a computer geek so no problem building a DIY Roon music server.
For some folks it’s the destination which is most important, and for some it’s the journey.
I have no problem building or configuring a NUC, but I’ve always appreciated the plug-and-play simplicity and the non-PC-style form factor. I’d still keep my library stored on my Synology running RAID 5.
With the Nucleus One priced at $499, I’d expect a more robust model to land around three times that, roughly $1,499 with the Titan coming in around $2,499 to $2,999. At $3,999, I would have liked to see it include a lifetime subscription.
At least a subscription covering the expected life span of the Nucleus would be nice. Say 5 years?
