Hi…I need a bit of help. Today my Lumin T3 had a “ Check Network Connection” warning. The Lumin App could not find it. It appears on my Router’s list of connected devices [ Lumin is there 2x for some reason] . It appears on the Network Map on my PC. The lumin App finds my TEAC NT505 and plays music through it, it no longer finds the T3. ROON can’t find the T3 either. I have reset the Network router, powered down the Lumin. No joy . I have re downloaded the App….no sign of the T3. I have tried a different Ethernet Cable and a different socket …no joy. Is there a fix or has it died?? It has worked flawlessly for 3 years until now. I would love some advice….Thanks in advance.
Please check PM.
Thanks Peter, The local dealer and distributor have been very helpful and I am optimistic that the problem will be fixed.
Whilst the T3 is off the rack I got to thinking and thought about getting a new Ethernet cable , probably the Supra Cat 8 , I then read that shielded cables are not recommended. I have standard Cat 6 inside the wall running to a standard wall socket so the shield is probably not connected anyway going up the chain. What do you think ?
One thing is for sure when I connect the T3 back up I am going to plug it into the Direct In on my Pre Amp which by passes the pre amp volume etc…so then I can try out the Leedh Processing volume of the Lumin.
Also having a pleasant dream about a TX3
Regards, Keith
You may use a shielded cable if you like.
For direct connection, please set Analog Output Level to low and turn down the Volume first, before you play anything.
You may also let me know your amplifier model and XLR or RCA connection, so I can calculate a safe maximum volume % setting for you.
Peter..you are a kind and wonderful person. Thank you.
The Pre Amp is a C5000 Yamaha. I use XLR connectors from my T3 into the Pre Amp and XLR from Pre to the Yamaha M5000 power amp connected to the NS5000 speakers. I always use the Analogue output from the Lumin on the low setting and in fact turn the gain on the pre amp down by -12 dB. I don’t listen very loud. I would appreciate your advice on a safe maximize volume % setting and am looking forward to trying this option.
For Lumin T3 / T3X / T2 / D3 / P-series / X-series direct analog connection to Yamaha M5000, please set Analog Output Level to Low and keep Maximum Volume % as 100.
