· The lyrics are not syncing in my Roon app on the iPhone. On other devices it works fine. How can I fix this?

Would it be possible for you to take a specific track and take a screenshot at the same time stamp on the affected device (your iPhone) and unaffected device so we could see the difference and if it is your local track to upload it to our media storage ?

Thank you for your response. The first photo is a screenshot from my iPhone, and the second one is from my iMac. As you can see, it works correctly on the iMac.

On the iPhone, however, the lyrics are static and do not update.

Timestamp: 11:45 AM, 27-12-25.


Real-time lyrics only exist on tablet and PC, they are not available on phones

Thank you for the screenshots and the clarification.

What you’re seeing is expected behavior:

  • Real-time (time-synced) lyrics are not supported in the Roon app on phones (iPhone / Android).
  • They are available on desktop platforms (macOS, Windows) and tablets.
  • Roon ARC is a separate app, and it does support time-synced lyrics on iPhone — which is why you’re seeing different behavior there.

So in short:

  • iMac: working as designed
  • Roon iPhone app: static lyrics only (by design)
  • ARC on iPhone: real-time lyrics supported

This isn’t a bug or sync issue with your setup.

If you’d like to see real-time lyrics added to the Roon mobile app in the future, the best next step is to submit a Feature Request in the Feedback > Feature Suggestions so it can be reviewed by the product team.
