M1 replacement fuse question

https://fb.watch/Hg6djUzgZV/?fs=e

This just a bit of fun…the guy is a hoot. Don’t try this at home tho

The power supply arrived from China yesterday, purchased through Alibaba. $25 for the PS itself, $75 in shipping and customs fees (ugh).

After pulling the old unit out and installing the new one, it still wouldn’t turn on. I double checked all my connections and still nothing. Then I thought, why don’t I check that the new fuse I put in previously was seated correctly. I pulled it out and that one was blown too, so the old power supply must have toasted that one as well. After replacing the fuse with another new one, I turned the unit on and was warmly greeted with the Lumin boot screen on the display. Sooooooo…we are back in business with an operational M1 for $100. Certainly better than the $500+ it was going to cost if I sent it in for repair.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in publicly (and privately) to help me get this fixed. REALLY appreciate the community spirit here. The unopened BluSound is going back to Best Buy. :star_struck:

P.S. For those who were wondering what the guts of an M1 look like (the PS shield has been removed for this pic), here you go:
