Describe the issue

Hi. I use nucleus with my mac desktop. I also connect using my ios devices and a mac laptop. For some reason, I can connect with all devices except for my mac laptop. I have completely uninstall roon and all related components in my laptop, and still will not connect. It shows a build 1496 for the laptop and a build 1528 for Nucleus One and also 1528 for my Desktop Roon Remote. Please HELP!

Try uninstalling the Roon install on the mac

Download a fresh copy direct from thr download page

1528 should be the same for both

Hi @Alejandro_Pinto ,

You can try to install the latest Roon version via our downloads link:

https://roon.app/en/downloads

If this does not work, you can completely remove Roon by using the below instructions and then try the reinstall:

Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old” (only on the Mac, do not edit the Nucleus database)
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Here is the process outlined from a macOS machine:

Hi. Thanks! I did a complete uninstall on the mac laptop, and still loads build 1496 from a fresh install!! I have no idea why?

I finally got the laptop to run build 1528 from a fresh install. But still no joy!

Same netwrok as Nucleus but I will not connect!

Hi @Alejandro_Pinto,
Are there any new error messages since updating to the current build?
