Mac OS 10.14.2/Roon Build 1.8/756. This is a mac mini that I have been using as a Roon core for several years. I can connect to it via several iOS devices with no problem.

Trying to connect to another Mac Mini via wifi
Description Of Issue
Roon simply cannot find the core for some reason. I have tried all of the steps suggested (turning off Firewalls and restart, direct IP number for the core etc.)
This problem has been ongoing since before Roon 1.8. I had simply given up but not trying again.
When the Mac Mini’s were set up did you use Migration Assistant or some other method of cloning the machine onto the other?
On the remote that isn’t connecting can you delete Roon and all of the Library folders associated with Roon and then reinstall? Is there any change after doing so?
Thanks, Dylan, for the suggestion. There is good news and bad news:
Good news: I blasted everything as suggested and reloaded Roon. Success! I can now connect to the core on the old Mac Mini
Good news: I can use the remote roon install to control the core and play music through various endpoints connected through airplay.
Bad news: for some reason, the remote mac mini (now connected to core) doesn’t show up as an audio endpoint. That is, I cannot direct music from the core to play out of the speakers or headphones connected to this remote Mac Mini. I cannot figure out what is wrong. All of my other remote endpoints connected through airplay (including iOS devices, a chrome cast, a panasonic desktop stereo, my main listening system) all work just fine. What setting have I gotten messed up?
