Mac mini endpoint isn’t available until I remote connect

Hello,

I have a headless Mac mini as an endpoint. It seems that after some time, maybe an hour, my roon server no longer can see it. I need to remote screen connect to the mini endpoint and then my roon server then can see it immediately and I can group play to it.

How do I fix this? I turned off going to sleep… what else can I do to keep the mini end point available at all times?

Thanks,
Richard

@Richard_Yoo ,

The issue is your Mac is going to sleep. Roon won’t be successful in waking it as needed. You will need to set your mac to never fall asleep. Power consumption is very minimal but you will have to decide.

How to keep my mac awake

You could also do this via software such as through the “Caffeine app” below
