None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· Mac Mini M4 as Roon Core, my DSF files not being read/played as DSD

Tell us about your home network

· WFi7 router spectrum but connected voa USB

What is it being played as? Can you post your Signal Path?

Also, what DAC are you playing to and how does it receive the data from the Core?

How do I find the signal path?

It is beimg played at 705.6 KHz on my Ps Aduio PMG DAC streamer from my Mac via USB connection.

When you are playing a song, there is a little “light” button. If you click it, it brings up the signal path.

Like..

click on the light and it brings up the Signal Path like..

thanks - am very new, still on trial account

here it is

The Signal Path shows that you are using the System Mixer, which is why the conversion takes place.

You need to select Exclusive Mode under Roon Settings → Audio. Please refer to these guides. For a Mac, this means enabling and using the Core Audio device of your Mac Mini.

Hello @Hoku,

As mjw correctly explained, the System Mixer is converting your DSD signal before it reaches the DAC. Enabling Exclusive Mode will bypass the mixer and allow Roon to send the native DSD stream directly to your PS Audio DAC.
