The confusion and subsequent merging was due to your original support request reporting the Roon Server was not running (which is understandable given the false web admin status message).
Now we know more about this case I has taken the following actions to bring all the history together from 3 topics into your support submission topic.
I’ve changed the title (originally "Roon Server fails to start after 2.7.1 update" to improve clarity and also struck out the original fault description and replaced it with what is actually happening (as far as we know at this point).
It was quite an involved process (30 mins work) so do have a re-read to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
Thanks Carl, just checked and the server-not-running is now resolved with 1683 when I go to the rock webpage. Roon on Mac though not okay yet, but don’t think there was new version released for that? I’m running Golden Gate btw.
Thanks for the update good news re ROCK, as for Mac Remote issue that’s over to @Stephen and the rest of the Roon team … the complication here could be that macOS 27 is still beta and Roon don’t officially support beta operating systems.
Hi, would be fair indeed, happy to then act as tester for macOS27. Note that: now at beta4, I’m sure it worked on beta3, don’t remember whether I used roon on Mac when updated to beta 4. And note that my iOs devices also run on iOs27 beta without issues (nor roon or other sw I’m using). Good thing is that I can use from iPad & iPhone, incl ARC, which covers 70% of my use and can be used for the time being.
My MAC apps are also very problematic despite the server issue being fixed. Constant refreshes and searching for server etc. All other remotes on iPhone and iPad are ok.
