As I mentionned, unfortunately my mac’s profile is managed by my company, so I don’t have any control over changing the security settings or activating/deactivating the firewall.
Just got the confirmation from my boss that they won’t allow me to disable the firewall for whatever reason, I’m basically screwed…
Hi @soulight,
That’s unfortunate but not surprising. Do you have a personal computer that you can use Roon with?
I have Roon on my Win 11 desktop and it’s working fine
FYI for an unknown reason last Friday I had no interruption during a full day of use despite no setting change and since today the issue is happening again…
Every time I try to play another track it just skips until the “Too many failures”
Hi @soulight,
I activated diagnostics and took a look and your logs. I think you are experiencing a bug we are tracking. We currently an update waiting for release that contains a fix related to this. I will notify you here when that update is released so you can test if the “Too Many Failures” error persists.
FYI: I’m experiencing the same track skipping as @soulight with the “Too many failures” and am unable to use Roon on Mac OS Sequoia (15.1.1).
Hi @daniel
I’m glad to hear that a bug has finally been identified
Please keep me posted on the progress of the fix
Hi @nico_inCL,
Thanks for chiming in. Have you opened your own support ticket for this? If not can you post some timestamps of when this has happened to you? The more data we have the better we can troubleshoot.
Hi @Daniel - I haven’t opened up my own support ticket. Here’s some timestamps. Yesterday evening at 10:32 pm, 10:37 pm, and 10:46 pm, and on several times on the 25th – 9:41 pm, 9:45 pm, 9:51 pm, 9:56 pm, 10:02 pm, 10:11 pm, 10:15 pm, and 10:22 pm. I’ve tried several things, including restoring the database from backup, deleting Roonbridge and reinstalling it, restarting my DAC, Roon server (it’s a M2 Mac mini running Sequoia 15.1.1), to no avail. Let me know if you need further info, and thanks for reaching out. Going through Roon withdrawal.
@Daniel - Just checking back. Would it be useful to create a case, or has Roon identified the issue and a fix is pending?
Hi @nico_inCL,
No need to open a case. We currently have a fix in the works. I can’t comment on exactly when it will be released but it is coming!
Sounds good. Thanks for confirming that a fix is pending.
