MacBook Core - Naim Uniti Mk1 - Qobuz and roon?

Hi, I’m running core on my MacBook and wonder how I can stream roon to my Naim Uniti that supports Tidal but not Qobuz or room at the moment?
Thanks
Roy

Welcome to the community, @Roy_Hind!

What model do you have … Atom, Nova, Star? Is it listed here?

If not use one of the digital inputs, e.g. coaxial, using a simple Roon Bridge streamer.

Hi, it’s an early Uniti so isn’t roon ready. I’m looking for a separate box to hopefully just plug into the unii.
Thanks
Roy

It’s be really helpful if you could confirm what digital inputs is has. Assuming it has coaxial, something like an Allo DigiOne running Ropieee will do the job very well, but requires a little DIY. Otherwise, a Metrum Baby Ambre or similar. If USB is an option, then there are alternatives, but it must be the correct type of USB input.

Hi, it has a USB suitable for an iPad/phone connection. Hope that helps.

That USB is for storage such as pen drives and iPods, so won’t be suitable for use with Roon. I think there are digital inputs on the rear … two optical and two coaxial. You’ll need to use these. The simplest way to get started is to source a Chromecast Audio (now discontinued but available online.)
