MacBook Pro M1 (2020) acting like a Core although it is not

Roon Core Machine

Intel NUC 8i5BEH running ROCK

Description of Issue

I just experienced some very odd behavior. I was listening to music from the streaming service Qobuz remotely controlling my Roon core which is a Intel NUC running Roon ROCK from my MacBook Pro M1 (2020).
Then I shut down the Roon app on my MacBook Pro, suddenly the music stopped playing, which never happened before and which should not happen because my MacBook Pro is not my core. This behavior was persistent even after rebooting Roon Rock on my Intel NUC.
With all my other devices which control the core remotely everything works just fine and like always, meaning when I close the app which remotely controls the core on an iPad or iPhone or on a Windows PC the music continues playing like it should.

Was the endpoint configured as a “private” zone on your Mac?

Since I don’t even know that “private zones” exist, I would say no… I don’t know that setting and I never intentionally activated private zones. How can I check?
