Roon requires me to reboot my macbook pro (m4 version) every time I run it. It can not find my USB Holo Audio May DAC unless I reboot my macbook pro. I have tried the system settings/privacy/local network toggle on Roon to no effect. I have tried many others that Chatgpt suggested as well. I run Roon on my macbook and connect it to my DAC via USB. Did not have this problem in the past and it is not possible to reboot my mac each time I would like to listen to music since my mac serves other functions than just hosting Roon.
Thanks for writing in! Sorry to hear you’re running into discovery failures with your Holo DAC.
We’ve seen a handful of users have a better experience on the latest version of macOS Sequoia - would you be able to update to 15.7 and see how things perform?
Let me know how things go, and if you experience the issue again, take note of the specific date and time, and we’ll review a fresh diagnostic report.
If you haven’t already, try re-toggling local network access for Roon in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. This can be helpful to re-engage RAATServer and Apple coreaudio- Sequoia’s tighter network security will often sever their connection after Roon or MacOS system updates.
Try refreshing the Settings → Audio page within Roon to perform a network discovery cycle after taking the step above.
Please let us know if this helps. We’ll keep an eye out for your response. Thanks!
