Machine running remote does not show in roon

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

roon core: HP Microserver, Intel Xeon E3-1230v2, 16 GByte RAM, Windows 10 Pro

remote: Gigabyte X570 Master, AMD 3800x, 64 GByte RAM, Windows 10 Pro running roon remote

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

AVM Fritz!box 7590, 3 AVM 1750E repeaters in mesh configuration

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

RME ADI-2 DAC, USB

Description Of Issue

Setting up an new machine at the office with AMD 3800x that does NOT show up in roon at all. Nor does the DAC that is connected.

Audio seems ok, sound settings look fine, jriver Mediacenter works just fine with asio and wasapi output.

roon remote does not show the machine it is running on at all, nor does it show connected audio devices (RME or onboard audio).

It does show all networked devices plus the devices connected to core. Remote control of other nodes works just fine.

Please advise.

Joachim

Might be a firewall issue, try turning off the firewall on that new machine and see if the devices appear.

Is the office machine on the same subnet 192.168.55.xx as the other endpoints?

Yes. Same subnet. I am able to control other endpoint but cannot see the machine and its assets.

Resetting the firewall did cure the problem. Thank you!
