Is there any information or feedback yet regarding Roon and HQPlayer in conjunction with the new OS27 version for M systems?
More specifically, will the performance of the OS27 on the M processors also have a positive impact on the performance of HQPlayer?
Or will Apple provide more ways to take advantage of the M processor with OS 27, @Jussi?
I don’t know about macOS 27. But HQPlayer has been available as a fully native arm64 build since Apple introduced M1. And I’m personally perfectly happy how latest HQPlayer runs on M5Pro with current macOS 26. I enabled the E-core allocation feature on macOS for the M5Pro/Max series where you have “Performance” and “Super” cores instead of “Efficiency” and “Performance” cores. In this case on M5Pro/Max “Performance” = “Efficiency”.
What about the M4 Pro?
