Description Of Issue

I am interested in using the machine as a Roon end point as it is too weak to do DSP running as a Roon Server (which it has available as well - the system runs an OEM of Vortex Audio). When I enable the Roon end point I am blocked as the machine is not certified.

Yes, that means it is not ‘Roon Ready’ and will not work in the manner you want.

Was the device advertised as being ‘Roon Ready’? If so, you are due a refund.

What does the manufacturer say about it being eventually certified?

Here is a list of devices which are either ‘Roon Ready’ or ‘Roon Tested’.

The server actually runs vortexbox. Vortexbox has a Roon Ready app which seems to be disabled now as an end point

Yes, it’s disabled because the app or device did not pass or wasn’t even submitted to Roon’s certification process.

Roon will not Enable devices that have not passed the certification process.
