Mapping Backup Folder to Dropbox in Docker on QNAP (ref#G85L66)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I'm a Roon on QNAP user, I'm trying to create the Docker version for the new 2.65. How do I map my backup folder which is on Dropbox now? It seems not possible

Can I map shared folders for my .flac music with long path (e.g. shared_folder/sub_folder1/sub_folder2)?

Thanks for the answers

You don’t. Roon supports Dropbox natively – but you are not supposed to use it directly to restore a backup! See also:

Thank you, but I’m not talking about restoring a backup. I will download it to a USB Drive and restore it from there, but I would like to keep the new backup going to DropBox

So I guess I must link my Container backup folder to Dropbox somehow to make it work, but how?

Add a backup schedule in Roon that stores to Dropbox.

Hi @Gianluca_Finistauri,

@BlackJack is correct. You’ll need to set this up as part of Background Scheduling for backups per the steps at the link above.

The Dropbox location will be separate from the Backups folder you defined when you created the Docker (that’s local Backups).
