Marantz AV10 - want multichannel Roon

What do I need to add as a Roon endpoint so that I can play multichannel audio on my Marantz AV10? (Tidal) I just got a WiiM Pro Plus, but I notice it does not even have HDMI output, so I assume it will not help with multi-channel. Is that right? What piece of equipment do I need? I already have a separate Roon server that plays to my Roon Ready Trinnov Altitude 32 in another room.

For example a mini pc with Rock (using here only the Roon bridge) with a HDMI out or a Roon Ready streamer with multichannel output like the Eversolo DMP-A6 (here you are also able send DSD to your Marantz).

The dnp-a6 is what I would suggest.

JUst asked the same question elsewhere… what would I benefit with the DMP-A6 vs the Heos / stream capabilities of the AV10 IF Marantz just confirmed that the AV 10 is minutes away from Roon Ready?

Ask if the AV10 will support multichannel or DSD or both together directly via roon/RAAT. That’s not sure until there’s an official statement or someone tested it successfully.
Again, only because a multichannel AVR is roon ready doesn’t mean it can process multichannel or DSD via RAAT, unfortunately.
The DMP-A6, if connected via HDMI to my Denon AVR works nicely as a workaround here :+1:t3:

The AV10 can do DSD natively (my Oppo sends dsd bitstream directly) so I IMAGINE it would do dsd via Roon… Again, I imagine… We will have to wait until they release the firmware.

This is what at least some in general believe. But the facts are different.
Imagine roon/RAAT as a completely separated input port of an AVR with very specific properties like e.g. digital coax, HDMI or S/PDIF. These standards are all well defined and each of it has its own theoretical limitations. And (AVR) manufacturers may introduce even further limits with their own implementations, also depending on the hardware they use, resulting in practical limitations within a specific device.
So, if implementing e.g. multichannel through RAAT is too complicated or costly or the device’s hardware is not capable enough a manufacturer simply will not implement this for a specific device and stick with 2.0 as max. supported no. of channels.
So, don’t ever think an AVR would always support multichannel or DSD via RAAT only because it can handle this with other input ports.
You have to ask the manufacturer, try it yourself or find another source like this forum here.
Even more confusing, some AVRs actually support multichannel or DSD via RAAT, but their manuals don’t say anything about it.
