sony A90J using chrome cast - works like a chram. I can cast to the Sony TV that has a HDMI eARC connection to the Marrantz.
Bose 900 sounder - works
Denon AVR X 3200 W - works
Direct to Marrantz Cinema 50 - no playback.
apple TV around the house - issues connecting
I like my house to play the same music all over - easy and simple

Marrantz Cinema 50 doesn’t do playback.
Same with the apple TV’s.

Are you trying to play music to different Zones simultaneously?
If so, I believe Roon can only play to multiple Zones on the same protocol.
So for example you can’t group AirPlay with Chromecast.

I haven’t tried this in a while but I think this is how it is.

Also, You’ll want to check Roon settings under the audio tab>Roon Tested and be sure the Marantz and Apple TVs are enabled.

If you’re getting the “password issue” here’s a fix.

Just trying to play to the marrantz cinema 50 as stand alone. It’s using AirPlay.
If I select it playback doesn’t start, not with Tidal nor with tracks in my library (ALAC 16/44)

Apologies for the delay in response here. Did you have a chance to follow up on @Placebophile 's suggestion from above? The issue here is likely that the password is not set and Roon can’t connect to the Cinema 50. If you still need further help after putting the password in, please let us know and we can take another look, thanks!
