Hello, My equipment is Innuos zen mini like Roon core connected on ethernet Marantz 40 n wired Rac with my innuos and wifi on my network Wired keff speakers connected to Marantz Denon wifi speakers with my Marantz. At home I can use Roon with my Keff speakers. In the Roon application, the Marantz does not appear in the audio tab. I only see my Innuos as a roon core. I would like Innuos like Roon core to send the music to the Marantz via cable and then receive it via AirPlay on the denon. At the moment I have the impression that my phone communicates directly with my Marantz without using Innuos Roon core. Thanks for Your help Carlos
Thanks for taking the time to write in, and welcome to the Roon Community! We’re excited to have you here.
The first area I would check is your router settings > devices list, and make sure all your Roon devices are running on the same local subnet, including your Marantz and your Denon devices.
Here’s more info on subnets within your network:
Can you also review your audio settings from another remote device outside of your mobile device, and see if your Marantz is listed properly? I see you have an iPad available - let me know your results. Thank you!
Thank you very much for your help. I am sending you screenshots of my devices and the screenshot from an iPad (Marantz does not appear in Roon’s Audi options).
Based on your screenshots above, it looks like the Zen Mini is on a 192.168.1.XYZ subnet while your Denon/Marantz is on a 10.7.1.XYZ subnet. For Roon to work properly, the devices need to be on the same subnet. Do you have an additional router in your network setup?
I have a router connected to the box and then from the router to a Switch for an extended wifi network called Halamadrid. All the appliances in the house are connected to this network.
I have the innuos connected directly to the box.
The Livebox wifi network I don’t use for wifi, as the signal is weak far away.
Thanks again for your help
My in
Based on your network setup, it appears that you’re running two local subnets, which is what I mentioned in my first response - unfortunately, Roon cannot function across multiple subnets.
As a next step, I’d connect your innous to your switch as well, and see if you can get all your devices on the same subnet.
Note that wifi extenders typically don’t allow for the best overall experience with Roon and hi resolution audio playback - you may encounter network dropouts and poor connectivity. None the less, it may still be worth testing.
Generally speaking, powerline adapters have been known to cause issues with Roon in the past.
A simpler option could be to test out setting manual static IPs for each of your devices. But before that, I’d first try connecting all your devices to the same switch or router, and check your device list to see if you’re able to land everything on the same subnet.
We’ll be monitoring for your results @Carlos_Lopez1 - our team isn’t around on the weekends unfortunately, but we’ll be back in the office first thing Monday morning!
