Description of Issue

After the upgrade to the latest version, my ROON set did not sound as it was! First I checked all cable and connection nothing to see. BUT the SOUNDstage was equal to Audirvana! So why did i changed …???
So if not connection or Cable had been changed or deattached or wacky what is the next? yes check the settings! …
My first check look everything okay identical to what was … BUT NOOOOOOO… i checked on DSP settings this was as usual - all set to straight true (bypass all) all was as should be  as i opened the Tab Audio in Settings … I found the Clock Master priorij set to DEFAULT and MQA on!!! and the Resync time was set to 0ms

My personal settings were Masterclock set to 3, MQA off, Resync 100ms.

So could this be a glitch? during the update? because i have updated ROON since the beginning without issues as i can remember - but this really came to my ears

BUT this was NOT ALL …

putting the settings back as they were as in previous Versions … the soundstage was not as I have Heard before - no change in hardware or connections or speakers …
by coincidence I changed the Masterclock priority to 1 (highest) and YESSSSSS there is was my old beloved ROON and knowing WHY i changed to ROON

So my question, what could be the issue that i have to prioritize the masterclock to highest to get the Same soundstage as in previous Versions?
When typing this … i did change some hardware, namely the RaspberryPi3 VPN server is upgraded to the RaspberryPi4 van and has gotten a different PSU.
In my hummel opinion this should not make any different? but what if the Zone VPN indeed make some difference with the settings?

This just puzzles me … hope you can elaborate this matter.

Thank you for the time! Regards, Max

Please keep in mind that the Clock Master Priority setting has absolutely no impact on single zone playback. This is used to elect the device that has control over playback speed during grouped playback. It also has no influence at all over sound quality in any configuration.

As to why the setting changed in the first place this was likely due to a glitch on the endpoint which made the core think it was a new device. This happens occasionally on some devices and is, unfortunately, outside of our control.
