Description of Issue

When I first launch everything The Lenovo runs at about 45% Ram usage.
After about a weeks usage
approx 6 - 8 hours of music playing via local endpoints (Denon AVR) and Mobile usage (ARC) my memory usage starts to peak at 90% +

if I just shut down Roon server and restart,
Back down to 43% usage.

Other than roon the same server runs my Plex server and a Calibre Book library neither of which really affects Ram more than the initial 45%.Usage

Its definitely Roon adding up.

Any thought other than to restart Roon server Daily?

A poke in the dark but I’d check to see what version of .NET is being run and update it to see if that helps.

Hey @Larry_Barbatsoulis,

Thanks for taking the time to write in, and my apologies for the delay in getting to your thread. Following up on your issue, there’s likely a constellation of potential causes for the sluggish performance you’ve reported, all related to the breakdown of user libraries. We’re teasing out these causes to debug them.

Do you have at least one artist in their library with over 1000 tracks?

Do you have at least one artist in their library with over 1000 albums?

Additionally, if you navigate to Roon → Settings → Library and click “Clean up Library” to open the dialog window, does anyone have over 1000 deleted tracks? Don’t finalize by clicking “Clean up Library” again, just cancel out.

We’re requesting this information as the diagnostics available to our server don’t scan the database with this level of granularity.

With that, we’re also seeing an error in relation to Qobuz having connection issues with your ZeroTier One VPN. I should note that VPNs are not supported with Roon, so you’ll need to disable it while we troubleshoot.

I’ll be on standby for your reply. Thanks! :+1:

It wasn’t sluggish as much as it gets to a point after about a week that the memory usage goes up to about 99% and then nothing works . I shut down Room server I restart and we are back down to my normal 39% usage on mem.

Give me a day and I’ll get you the answers to your questions.

Also zero tier is only used for when I was at work or in the car which works beautifuly (had to come up with an answer before you guys released ARC) now it’s 6 of one half dozen of the other. But when memory goes up to 90% neither works including local end points.

do not have any artist over 1000 tracks or 1000 albums
and in clean up library it says

Clean up 172 deleted files that have been deleted from roon or removed by streaming service.

Clean up 674 files not associated with a storage location
