Hi - I have first room set up with Innuos Zen Mini operating from BT Homespun 600 extender connected via a ethernet cable. The Zen is set up as Roon core with Arcam DAC. All working fine.
I am trying to set up a second room with a Meridian 218 also operating from a second BT 600 via ethernet cable.
No matter what I do rebooting etc I cannot find the 218 in audio set up in Roon.
Any ideas how to fix this would be most welcome.
Pete
Hi @Peter_Sellen ----- Thank you for the report and sharing this observation with us. The feedback is appreciated!
Moving forward, while I am not completely familiar with the BT Homespot 600 extenders, I seem to recall that there are two ethernet ports on top of the device, please do correct me if I am wrong During your troubleshooting have you tried testing with the 218 temporarily mounted to the same extender as the Zen mini just to verify what the experience is like?
Additionally, can you please provide me with a brief but accurate description of your network configuration/topology, being sure to provide detailed insight into any networking hardware you are currently implementing.

Hi Eric - thanks for the reply.
Here are some more details.
Main Modem / BT
Configure Ipv4 - Using DHCP
Broadband speed test is showing reliable 75Mbps
Room A - BT Home spot 600 with 2 Ethenet ports
Speed test completed on both ports - also steady at around 75 Mbps.
Innuous Zen Mini connected to Ethernet port 1 - working just fine - stable. The Zen is set up as Roon core and connected via Arcam DAC to pre amp etc.
Room B - Second BT 600 Home spot fitted with 2 ethernet ports.
Speed test completed on both ports - also steady at around 75 Mbps.
Meridan 218 connected to ethernet port 1 on the 600 unit
Meridian is not picked up by Roon I have tried swapping to second port on same unit, rebooting, swapping cables etc but problem persists. I have also tried swapping 600 unit from Room A - same problem. ( The 600 units are new).
As suggested, I then connected the Merdian 218 to ethernet port 2 on the same 600 home spot unit as the Zen in Room A. It was indeed picked up by Roon which recognized it as a second audio device and it worked just fine.
I also tried connecting the Meridan to the main modem and it was picked up by Roon OK.
As a final test I moved the whole Zen set up to Room B and it worked fine however, Roon did not pick up the Meridian in Room A.
Thanks for any advice /suggestions on how to pick up the Meridian on Roon in second room would be most welcome.

Hi @Peter_Sellen ---- Thank you for giving the proposed test a shot and sharing the observations you made during that troubleshooting exercise. The insight is appreciated!
Based on the results you shared I am wondering if it is possible that the second BT 600 home spot has become out of sync with the system. During your troubleshooting have you tried resetting the unit?
Additionally, are you able to ping the IP address that is being assigned to the 218 while it is mounted to the second BT 600 home spot?
