I've downloaded the latest version, but my account still keeps getting this error:

Metadata improver: Paused

Roon is having trouble verifying your connection with our servers, so metadata improvement has been paused. Check your internet connection and make sure that you're running the latest version of Roon.

Describe your network setup

I'm on a public network and I don't have access to this information

Are you able to get your Roon Server machine set up with a direct ethernet connection to your primary router? I’d also make sure all your Roon devices stay within the same local subnet within your network as well.

You may continue to run into issues when using a public network - since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.

You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.

I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.
