"Metadata improver paused" error - can't resume playback from Tidal/QOBUZ (ref#T01GCP)

· Roon shows error message "metadata improver paused" ...having trouble verifying connection with our servers etc. I have latest Roon software and my network is working. When I booted up to Roon this morning everything appeared ok. I paused playback for a few minutes, when I tried to resume playback, nothing would play EXCEPT the album that was playing when I initially paused the playback. I rebooted Nucleus still nothing except the error message shown above. The album that was playing when I paused finished playing and the Roon Radio is continuing to play. However I cannot access any other album from either Tidal, QOBUZ or my local files.

Thanks for sharing that report! To help us narrow things down, could you clarify how your Nucleus is connected to your primary router?

If possible, please try bypassing any switches or extra network gear to test a direct Ethernet connection. We also recommend a quick router reboot.

Additionally, please check Roon Settings > Storage to ensure your local library is importing correctly. Is this issue happening with both local files and streaming content?

We haven’t seen a response yet to this thread. Are you still having issues with the metadata improver or any broader connectivity symptoms?

The “metadata improver” error message and related issue seems to be resolved. However, I do find that I have to reboot the Nucleus almost every day. Not sure if the two issues are related.

Glad to hear there was an improvement regarding the Metadata Improver error. Can you please provide more details regarding the reboot you need to perform on the Nucleus?

Is this still the issue that is causing you to need to reboot your Nucleus? Can you provide an example with exact local date + time + track when the issue next occurs? We’ll enable diagnostics to see if we can gather any clues from the logging.

We haven’t seen a response in some time and this thread will shortly auto-close due to inactivity. Are you still experiencing dropouts or playback failures with streaming services?

If so, please share the name of any track that recently failed to play so our team can pinpoint the event in logs. Thank you!

The rebooting requirement occurs about every other day. When I open Roon and make a selection to play and press the play icon, nothing happens. I can still navigate around Roon but nothing will play. Once I reboot the Nucleus everything is fine for a day or so and then the problem occurs again.
