This album by Austrian band Avalanche (unknown to me until a few days ago) is amazing.
Looking forward catching them live as support of German sludge metal act Piece later this month.

Never heard of the band before reading the AMG review of their latest album a few days ago. I checked out their debut album and was impressed right away. A great mix of sludge, stoner with some grunge-like guitar work… the vocals are awesome as well (sometimes the dude sounds like Matt Pike). Their early work is available as “name your price” on Bandcamp right now.

The Tailgunner debut is still a very good listen… looking forward to the new album released in february 2026. The first song is awesome IMHO.

Grabbed this one on Bandcamp recently (sometimes you have to support the local heroes).
