I have a similar issue. Installed rock on a new nuc which can be seen on the network. old nuc is now switched off. I see a button asking me to deauthorize the old nuc which I click. Now I’m being asked “Are you online?”, which obviously I am as I’m typing this on my pc on the same network. Any help appreciated please.
Are you online question is referring to the new Core, not you yourself personally or your PC.
So in this instance you might need to check it is indeed online with a valid IP address in the same subnet as the rest of your gear.
Do you see any other message like search for your Roon Core etc?
Nuc is connected by ethernet to my router, don’t know much about networking tbh. I took the SSD out of my old nuc and downloaded the new installation as per the instructions. The new nuc shows on my network
@simmobb2, I moved your post to a new topic and thread so as not to cause confusion with the original poster’s question and topic. It’s best to create a separate topic even when similar to an existing one if you need support.
I recommend filling out the following information to the Roon staff and Community can better assist you:
Roon Core Machine
Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM)
Networking Gear & Setup Details
Your network gear (model of routers/switches) and if on WiFi/Ethernet
Connected Audio Devices
Specify what devices you’re using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.
Number of Tracks in Library
Tell us how large your music library is, eg. “30,000 tracks”
Description of Issue
Tell us about the problem you’re having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!
Thanks for your advice Robert. As it happens it sorted itself out. I got up this morning and it worked.
