Hi,
I bought a used mini computer with the latest rock version already installed. The seller said I would just have to plug it in and connect it to an ethernet cable, but I don’t know how to access it. my router sees it but my Roon app on my win 11 pc cant see it. I know very little about computers and I’m wondering if I need to connect a mouse and keyboard and monitor to the mini computer, or am I totally wrong? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Please post a screenshot of what you see in the Roon app on your Windows 11 PC so that we can see what you are seeing. You don’t need to connect a mouse, keyboard and monitor to the mini computer, since you’ve said that your router sees it.
You should also be able to access the Web Administration Interface of ROCK by entering the IP address of the mini computer (which the router has given to it) into a web browser… A screenshot of that would be helpful as well.
You can try using the smartphone app
Perhaps the firewall is enabled on the PC or the local network is configured as public and does not allow connecting to devices within the network.
Thanks Serge,
That worked! I appreciate your help.
Thanks for your help Geoff,
I finally got it, now I just need to work out how to update the codecs in rock. Nearly there. Thanks for replying so quickly.
