Missing Local Albums

I cannot say when this started but I just noticed something odd as I was looking at my library. Albums that are local and on my Antipodes server are not showing up in Roon. In addition I am getting a local file flag on an album not even in my local library. In local library:

I have no idea how deep this problem goes but it makes no sense.

I have already forced a rescan of my files. On latest Roon version

The badge only means that the album is in your Roon library, not that it’s local files.

What does Roon Settings > Storage say?

Hello - thanks :grinning_face: I always thought that icon was for a local file but most of my local files do not have anything

I did re-boot my Antipodes server (just updated Roon a few days ago) and that seems to have solved the issue. Seeing my local files now. Odd though

To clarify further: The library icon is only shown in the artist Discography to indicate albums that are already in the library. It’s not shown at all in My Albums because all albums in My Albums are by definition in the library. (And similar on the artist Overview because its whole album section has the heading “In my library”)

Nothing: in local library

Q Symbol: Qobuz only album

Q & File Symbol - Have both Local & Qobuz

Close but not quite :slight_smile:

In My Albums:

  • Never a library badge because everything in My Album is in the library, by definition.
  • Therefore no badge if the in-library album is local.
  • Q badge if the in-library album comes from Qobuz. Tidal badge if it comes from Tidal

In Artist > Discography:

  • Library badge if the album is in the library.
  • No library badge if the album is not in the library, which by definition means that it’s not local.
  • Q and/or Tidal badge if the album is available on the respective streaming service

Of course, Tidal badges only if a Tidal account is connected as well
