I posted before about missing lyrics and I’m noticing it more and more. Last week I bought The Definitive Decoration Day by the Drive By Truckers and only three of the songs lyrics show. Not only on my download but the Qobuz and Tidal streams. This really is making me consider dumping ROON. I have reported this as a problem and they found the same issue with Jeff Tweedy’s album as myself. So I don’r believe it’s anything other than a ROON issue. How they link lyrics to songs I have no idea but I’m finding myself going back to google more often.

If its a dealbreaker i can see why you are contemplating leaving Roon, but be sure to ensure your new service is up to code before you sign up.

If Roon’s lyric provider doesn’t have them, it is possible that other services won’t either.
IIRC, Roon uses LyricFind.
Edit: Yes, LyricFind.
Hey @Suedkiez ,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. As always, we appreciate the heads up
We’ve reached out to Lyricfind with your report. We can’t make any promises regarding a timeline for corrections but they generally investigate fairly quickly when we contact them.

This album was only released a week ago (Nov 14, 2025). One week later, 29 out of the 35 tracks on this album have lyrics in our metadata.

@mjw Glad to find out in this way that the Cale issue from years ago was fixed. Thanks @jamie
Content you’re reporting an issue with
John Cale: The Ballad of Cable Hogue, track #11 from the Fragments of a Rainy Season album:

The lyrics to this song are these (the song is originally from Cale’s Helen of Troy album):
However, in Roon it shows incorrectly these lyrics:

Note that the first line is a comment, “with Marianne Dissard”. Marianne Dissard is a vocalist in the similarly titled Ballad of Cable Hogue, track #2 from Calexico’s Hot Rail album:

The microphone icon is for real-time lyrics. Lyrics are also available for The Deeper In , My Sweet … , and likely others (I didn’t check further), too.
Edit: Actually, it’s microphone with clock. I need to get my eyes tested!

Which version? I see lyrics on all but the 2025 mix.

Probably the superfluous “(2025 Mix)” in the track titles messing with the match (although when added to the library this text is removed.)

It’s likely that your library hasn’t pulled the latest metadata. Metadata update can take up to a week.
