I have a a fair few albums with lyrics missing. Should I see lyrics on every album? For example Jeff Tweedy’s album Terror Override has only one song lyric. Van Morrison’s last album has three songs where I can see the lyrics. What triggers ROON to get the lyrics?

Thanks for taking the time to write in! And a very good question you have here. Roon doesn’t store lyrics locally (unless you add them yourself in file tags). Instead, it pulls them dynamically from online lyric databases through its metadata providers.
When Roon scans your library, it tries to match each track to a record in its metadata cloud. Once a confident match is found, Roon can then display:
Artist bios
Album reviews
Credits
And, if available, lyrics
Essentially, you’ll want a successful metadata match between your local track and Roon’s online metadata source that includes lyrics.
On the Tweedy album changed from Qobuz to ROON’s made no joy. I should add that no lyrics show my own download, Qobuz and Tidal streams. Does this means there are no lyrics available so cannot be displayed.
I’ve tried to look up the Jeff Tweedy album on my end and can confirm the same behavior, it looks like there are no avaliable lyrics for this album, unfortunately.
