Hi, I had to re-install my ROON when my computer had a failure. Since the re-installation, I no longer have the "MY STUFF" section on the left side drop down menu. And the "playlist" tab is in light gray (rather than dark gray) and unaccessible when I click on it. As a result, I can't access the playlists that I have created. Can you help me?
Describe your network setup
The computer is AZUS ZenBook, the server is NAD CI 580, the router and switches are Ubiquiti Networks
I’m not quite sure what you are looking for. Your screenshot shows My Library with Albums, Artists, etc. There shouldn’t literally be a My Stuff section. Looks the same here:
Are your playlists Roon playlists or Qobuz/Tidal playlists?
Did you restore a Roon database backup after reinstalling Roon? This is necessary to restore your Roon playlists (though Qobuz/Tidal playlists should be populated automatically from the streaming service)
They ditched my stuff ages ago with the playlist updates. Were you running an older version before? If you did not have a back up of your database and restored this then you won’t have any of your playlists.
Thx Crystal. I unfortunately did lose all my previous playlists. But even as I create new ones, the Playlists tab remains in light grey and doesn’t react when I try to access it. The only way I have found to access my new playlists is search for a song which is in the playlist and click on the playlist which is mentioned there. Which is very inconvenient…
Thx Suedkiez,
My playlists are Roon playlists. I lost the old ones because I hadn’t created a backup
But I can’t even access the new ones that I create. If you look at my screenshot, you will see that the playlist TAB is lighter than the other tabs. It isn’t “live” for some reason…
Yeah, I see that it’s greyed out, but it also looks (because of the „>“ and„+“ next to it) like you have the setting enabled to show playlists in the side bar. (This is in Settings > General > Browsing preferences). If this is enabled, then all your playlists should be listed in the side bar, but there are none.
Therefore, looks to me as if the problem isn’t so much that playlists aren’t displayed, but more like there are no playlists.
What happens if you click the „+“ or the „…“ next to the Playlists entry in the sidebar?
What happens if you go to Roon’s > General screen and set “Show playlists in the sidebar” to No? If you then click on the Playlists menu item, does it display the Playlists page?
Thanks for the update - sorry to hear you’re still unable to access playlists! Could you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? We’ll want to take a fresh look to further analyze what might be going on.
Afterward, I’d be curious to see if refreshing the Roon database on your Windows may help. Steps to follow below:
No worries, let us know once you’ve gotten back and we can pick this back up! If the thread happens to auto-close, just start a new topic, reference this one by URL and then we can merge them together, thanks!
