Missing Qobuz Albums and Playlists After Recent Update (ref#HKMBSW)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· All of the sudden all my Qobuz favorite albums are not showing up in my library anymore and all my Qobuz smart playlist are empty now. This issue started yesterday before upgrading to 2.7.1. I already did "Sync library now" in the Qobuz settings, deleted Roon Server cache, sign out/sign in the Qobuz settings and upgrade to 2.71 but the issue still there. Nothing changed on my end. I solely rely on smart playlist so as you can imagine, this makes it difficult to enjoy Roon anymore and I'm seriously debating whether to continue to accept all the issues as of late which have been occurring more and more with every new version. Roon was working beautifully for me over a year ago and it seems it keeps going down the ■■■■■■■■■■■■■ route with every new release. Its gotten so bad that I do not upgrade until I do not see any posts of issues with that release. I know I'm not going to get any friends by saying this but this to me is unacceptable for a software you are paying a premium for. It also seems the lack of competition has made the developers jaided and unable to see it from the end user's perspective.
I've quietly putting up with all this issues because I love Roon but it has been way to many issues to continue to be quiet.

Hey @J_Shore, welcome to the community, and thanks for laying out the sequence so clearly.

This looks like a Qobuz library sync problem, not something you caused by upgrading to 2.7.1.

We do have a known issue that matches what you are seeing with Qobuz albums not showing after the latest update, so that may explain the missing favorites and empty smart playlists while we continue to investigate the sync behavior.

Are these albums still showing up if you navigate to the Roon → Qobuz → My Qobuz section? The tracking thread we have regarding this issue is here:

Thank you for your response, yes it looks like its the same Qobuz library sync problem reported on that thread.

Please note that issue was there prior to the latest update. I update to 2.7.1 believing it would fix it but it didn’t. What latest update are you referencing to? Prior to yesterday I have been running 2.7.0 sine it came out and all of the sudden the sync issue started for me. Looking at that thread, the Qobuz sync problem started Jul 9 or 28 days ago.

Yes the albums are showing up there but all my smart playlist which I use every day are all gone.

Could you provide a status update on that Qobuz library sync problem and when it will to be fixed? It started 28 days ago.

Thank you, everything appears to have synced with the library again today. I appreciate the team effort in resolving this issue.

Hello @J_Shore

Good to hear it has come back, and thank you for confirming.

The album’s problem and the empty playlists are two separate faults with two separate causes. The album issue was traced to incomplete data being served during syncs, and libraries recovered once complete data came through again, which is what happened to yours. The empty playlists have a different cause, and that one is currently on the R&D side and will be shipped soon, including a step that restores playlists that were emptied. But we don’t yet have a timeframe for when that’s going to happen.

If your playlists empty out again before that ships, please tell us rather than waiting it out. That specific case has a known fix, and we would want your report attached to it.
