I want you to be able to select “Mixed” or “DJ Mix”, “Mix CD” etc by album type.

An example, perhaps with pictures, would make your request more persuasive. What are you trying to achieve with these selections?
I think the best way to handle this would be the addition of Version in Focus, e.g. select Version and type mixed, vinyl etc.
Is it possible to search for the character string added to Version and filter with Focus?
I don’t know how.
How about “tagging” your mix albums and search that way.
That’s sort of what ive done…ie labels Polegroup/MORD etc
