Modi 3 Not Working with Ropieee [solved]

Hi. I have a Pi3B hooked up to a Schiit Modi 3 via USB, and can’t seem to get it working either via airplay or roon with ropieee:latest, correct version.

I tried three different ropieee pi’s that work with other dacs but not with the modi 3.

The dac switch is set to usb (top position).

I’ve tried three usb cables.

I can log into ropieee…see below.

I do not seee it in roon > settings > audio, even as disabled.

Is this an incompatible dac for some reason?

Thanks to another user with the same issue I figured this out. It was the USB cable. Some cables are wired to transmit data and some are only wired for charging. I guess the three cables that I had tried were all charging only. Then I found another one that is clearly designed and wired for data and that worked.
