This morning I was listening to Roon with my iPad as control when I received a news alert on my iPhone. At the same time, as the news alert arrived, I heard a burst of static on the song I was playing. Is this normal? My setup is a Win10 computer hosting Roon core and, in a different room, a Devialet 200 connected via Ethernet to Roon.
Yep normal with iOS endpoints as iOS doesn’t allow 3rd party apps to work in ‘exclusive mode’.
You can mostly work around that by using ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode. Then music playback is only interrupted by (important) phone calls only (if you allow calls).
