Moon MiND2 network player

I got one of these (upgraded my old Moon Neo MIND). Everything works great except one thing; I have no option in Roon for DSD conversion. So for this reason DSD (converted to DSF) does not work. On all my other devices I have the option for DSD playback strategy (with option DSD over PCM v1.0 (DoP), Convert to PCM and Initial dCS method).

I’m lost here; how can I get the DSD playback via Roon on my Moon Neo MiND2 ?

Edit:
And yes, I know the device does not support DSD - it is a network streamer with SPDIF (it should however support DSD over PCM) out. But I want Roon to convert it like it does with my other devices.

I would expect DSD over PCM v1.0 (DoP) or at least PCM conversion to work, but it does not. When setting Custom conversion for DSD64, 128, 256 etc to PCM (or any other option). No sound. And the Moon MiND2 network player gets no indication of input frequency even though the connected DAC (conneted to Moon MiND2 network player via coxial SPDIF) gets the corresponding frequency with no sound.

Edit:
PCM in 88.2 kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz and 192kHz works fine.

I managed to get it working by switching DSP Engine/Sample Rate Conversion to Custom. Setting DSD64, DSD128, DSD256, DSD512 to 176.4kHz. But why does this not work straight out of the box? My guess is that the Roon implementation from Moon is not good yet. Isn’t this suppose to fallback to “for compatible only” ?

Hello @Tor_Gunnar_Berland,

The Simaudio Moon MiND 2 devices are not yet Roon Ready certified, meaning that they may have unimplemented features or buggy behavior. I’m not sure if this issue was known to the technical team, so I will pass along your feedback about DSD playback to the MiND2 network player. I’m glad you were able to find a solution in the interim!
