Moving from NAS to local external HDD

When moving from music stored in a NAS to an external attached storage (a HDD with exactly the same files as the NAS) will Roon Server re-do the Background Audio Analysis on the music files of new external storage?

No, it will be fine.

  • Stop Roon.
  • Move the files
  • Start Roon and edit the exiting Roon Watched folder to point it to the new location.

A few more dumb questions, exactly how/where do one stop Roon? At the remote app by just closing it or at the server PC? If at the PC, where? Is there a “hidden” setting menu where Roon can be stopped? Conversely, how Roon is started from the “stopped” status?
