Moving HQPlayer licence key to a new PC

I am trying to reinstall HQPlayer v3 on a new PC.

However, the licence key I have (from late 2016) is a .txt file. When I try and re-register the new install, HQPayer is looking for a .xml file so the registration fails.

Is there something I am missing? Is there another way of entering the licence key?

No problem. The reason is he would need to know your name and email address etc for the original license key. That’s best done privately via email, not shared publicly here… for your own privacy…
