Description of Issue

I will be moving my music collection (music files) to a new location (new NAS with new hostname). I plan to follow the procedure given in this Roon Web page.

It is not clear to me how Roon will associate my edits and entered metadata with the files in the new locations and not treat them as new tracks. A few words of explanation would increase my confidence that this will work properly.

It is concerning that the linked page has 22 :+1: ratings and 21 :-1: ratings.

It will just do it, don’t worry just edit the watched folders pointing to the same root level you had in the previous location.

Done it many times worked every time.

As it scans the new location it will look like it’s new files until it finishes completely just leave it to get on with it.
