Moving Roon Server from old Mac Mini (late 2012) to new Mac Mini (2024)

I have just moved my Roon Server running on a Mac Mini (late 2012) with MacOS 10.15.7 to a new Mac Mini (2024) with MacOS 15.7.1.

UPDATE:
The Roon Server versions on both Macs are 2.55 (build 1559). I tried following the steps outlined in the “Moving Roon to a new Server” article, but when opening Roon after having copied all music libraries to the new server, I signed in on the opening window in stead of clicking on “Restore a backup”. Roon then started to automatically import all the files from the music libraries.

I can not tell if some albums are now missing in My library in Roon, but I am missing several Album Artworks that I previously downloaded manually from Internet and imported via edit in iTunes or in Roon directly.

Can this be due to the fact that I did mot run a restore?
Can I go back and do a restore now to correct it?

Congratulations

Yes, any edits and artwork updates made in Roon are stored in the Roon database.

Thank you so much for supporting me. I followed the KB step by step and did a restore. Now all album artworks are back and everything seems to be in place. Thank you!
