Moving roon to new computer [Solved]

I have a new iMac running el capitan 10,11,1 I have used time machine to reinstall all my data. When I start roon and enter my password the program icon appears and just spins. I do not get the option to reauthorize my old iMac and use this one. What do I do?

I meant to say deauthorize. My old iMac will start roon normally.

Hi @docdan60,

Sounds like you might have two databases in play at the same time. You need to move the Roon database rather than copy it.

Yes, I figured it out with help of some of the posts. I moved the roon file out of the library of the old computer to the desktop just so I would still have it. On the new iMac I deleted the copy of roon and its roon library folder that had been installed by the backup. I reinstalled a fresh copy of roon and I was able to log in rebuild the database and all is well. Then I deleted roon form the old computer which is going to be sold.
