Description of Issue

Hi - I’m an unsophisticated user and lover of Roon.
Because of a somewhat related issue (music collection too big for disk, system crashed) I have rebuilt my iMac that used to be the Room server. I want to install room on a dedicated Mac mini instead, but I can’t find any receipts for my account. How do I connect to my personal account when I get started again?

Additional info:
until I read another topic here I did not know about the Library location - because of that stupid hidden menu thing in macs. So when i rebuilt my iMac I saved all of the data files, including the entire Music set of directories. I had previously loaded an earlier version of the music files to a mini and iTunes found everything. But it seems that when I wiped the iMac disk I lost the library.

I’m going to buy one of the new M2 minis with a big SSD drive and start over. How can I get q roon server on the mini and how to sync it up with the Music files. (It found them the first time I installed Roon).

login user name and pass, same as the ones you are using for this forum (not 100%sure)

did you have a time machine running

or an external SDD

Do back up your library (or use older backups)
If need to restore a backup to a fresh install of Roon (like if you’re moving your Core to a new device, or if you’re restoring after a hard drive failure), you can do so from the Login screen. This will work on any Roon Core that is not logged in.

Hope it helps
Traian
