When I play an MQA file with 192KHZ from Tidal using Roon’s MQA decode and render, it only shows up as 96khz on my dac. Why is this the case? Can Roon decode and render at 192 KHZ?

Roon software can only decode. That means unfold from 44.1 to 88.2 or 48 to 96.
Roon on its own can only do the first decode to 96khz. It is only the DAC itself that can do the rendering to greater than 96. This is the way MQA dictates things. Unless you have an MQA capable DAC 96 kHz is the max you will get.
