MQA explanations wanted - fundamentalists need not apply

When I’m listening to an MQA file that Roon decodes (or whatever the correct term is) am I listening to a 24 bit 96 kHz track just as I would if I bought in from say HD Tracks?

If not, am I listening to a file better (bigger) than CD quality but there is not the full information that would be in the HD Tracks version?

If the MQA file was created from the HD Tracks version, once unfolded by Roon or any software capable of the first unfold, it will not contain all the data that the original HD Tracks version did.

Yes the unfolded MQA can have more information than CD quality. The folded MQA file played as is does not contain more information than CD quality.
