My MSB Discreet DAC cannot be seen by Roon via ethernet. I can see the DAC via my Windows machine, meaning it is connected to the network but it is not visible to Roon under Setting/Audio. Hi @Anthony_Polinski,

Diagnostics indicate that you’re running an outdated version of Roon on the legacy build, Roon 1.8.

You’ll need to update your server to Roon 2.0 in order to guarantee Roon can function with network device discovery and upstream services.

Please create a Backup of your Roon database and then open the Nucleus web admin page. Reinstalling RoonOS will automatically update to the latest version of Roon 2.0.

Will my Nucleus update to 2.0?

When I go to upgrade to v2.0 using the Web Admin Page I receive the following error:

{“status”.“Failure”,“exitcode”:11}

Please advise

Hey @Anthony_Polinski,

Thanks for the update! Your Nucleus can indeed update to Roon 2.0.

This exit code relates to a failure in downloading the update package from the update server.

How is your Nucleus connected to your router/network? If you can, temporarily set up a direct ethernet connection from your Nucleus to your primary router. Reboot the Nucleus as well as the router and see if you’re able to update successfully.

We’ll be monitoring for your reply! :+1:

I moved the Roon Nucleus and connected directly to the switch that is connected to the modem. Still received same result.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Ben,

Any suggestions regarding this issue?

I’m not @benjamin, just another Roon user but I’d recommend re reading your router, wait for it re-establish a connection to the cloud, then power cycle the switch and then finally reboot the Nucleus.

Hope this helps.
