Describe the issue

I just installed roon, and was figuring out how it worked. Unfortunately one of the albums (a multi disc set) was imported incorrectly. It was loading from an iTunes directory, and one of the discs of the multi disc set had been put into the compilation directories - I didn't notice this. The result was "two" albums in the roon interface. Unfortunately I moved the files (using finder in macOS) without using the roon functionality. I then used the roon functionality to delete the album - which failed with "files not found" for one of the albums. I recreated the files from backup into the musing directory and roon now has one correct album with all discs, but the remaining one cannot load (no files) so I can't clean it up. Will resetting the database fix this? or else how to fix?

Hello @Simon_Tetley ,

Welcome to the fourm! Can you please confirm the name/artist of the affected album? Additionally, can you please try to access the album and let us know the exact local time + date when you try to access it, and then we’ll enable logging to look over to see if there are any relevant logs. Thanks!

In situations like this, your best bet is to remove the confused/confusing content from your collection temporarily, force rescan your library, then perform a Library Cleanup. That last part is important to wipe Roon’s recollection of the messed up content.

Then move the fixed content into its appropriate place. You can perform a force rescan after that if needed.
