Multichannel playback without BD player

I have a trinnov Al32 and the new codecs installed.
I bought this “24/96 Auro 3-D files embedded in 5.1 FLAC”)" and installed the FLAC files on my Roon library.
After clarifaction with 2L i get the info that the channel order is L-R-C-Lfe-Ls-Rs and 4 height channels .
Refer to the label 2L to playback the correct channel order will be done “automatic” only with a MKV file(where the music files are embedded),
As i dont want to buy current a media or a Oppo BD-player-
that questions are open for me:

  1. Does the channel order issue is officially solved from Roon or does the user have to modify the DSP setup in the sw ?
  2. Are there other solution to solve that easy/flexibel `?

thanks

I don’t have any first hand knowledge on this subject but have read an interesting article in Stereophile by @mitr Kal Rubinson.

No idea if this will help you out but maybe Kal will see this and have some information for you.

The Trinnov I used worked fine with Roon and LAN with my 5.3.4 setup but it required some remapping and, at the time, Trinnov did not support Auro-3D. The remapping was easy.

What you mean “… The remapping was easy.” ??
Please help me here

Thanks
Robert

I used the Trinnov remapping facility. See my review: https://www.stereophile.com/content/music-round-98-trinnov-altitude-32-essence-evolve-ii-4k
