I have a Dell laptop running Win 8.1 and Roon. The output is a Geek Out USB DAC connected to an analog preamp. The WASAPI driver is in exclusive mode. Roon’s volume control is disabled, as I think it should be. But the Windows mixer volume control is alive as are two volume controls in the Geek driver software. Should this happen? And if so, what are the best settings? I’d be happy using the preamp’s volume control with fixed outputs.
